Back from holiday and back to training

I loved my quick getaway at singapore!! It was just so much fun with Daryl, Kai Lin, Chee Kiang and Nadine. And I also managed to meet up with Kelvin and Michelle there. Haha loads of funny shits happened during out trip. Well even before our trip could begin, something funny happened. What u ask?? Haha this might sound stupid but we missed our bus to Singapore!! Long story cut short we managed to find another bus to haul our asses down south but wasted 40bucks. Then we finally reached Singapore at the wee hours of very early morning, 6am lah to be precise when we reached Woodlands check point, something funny happened again. This time instead of we missing the bus, the bus left us behind!! After getting our passports stamped at Woodlands, the bus driver asked us to stay at the departure terminal but after 45 minutes waiting for the retard, we figured he left us stranded already. But thank god for Singapore's super efficient public transportation, we hitched a bus to the city to reach the nearest MRT station.Once we got to the MRT station we hopped onto the train and headed to a stop nearest to our Hotel which was YMCA along Orchard Road. Still too early to check in at YMCA, we then dragged our stoned-blur-tired asses to Plaza Singapura to have breakfast at McDonalds. 5 dollars for breakfast there wasn't too bad. Almost the same price as here I would say. We then got some rest and sleep at McD's before going to YMCA at 10 something. After we reached YMCA, we then left our bags there and headed out to Orchard Road to accomplish our mission- To do some massive shopping!! That was the whole idea of heading down to Singapore really. The great singapre Sale!! Well I didn't do much shopping to be honest, hehe budget traveller you see. The gang bought cds, clothes, shoes and other stuff which I can't really remember now. Overall the trip down south was really fun and memorable. If only we were there for a few more days then things wouldn't be so rushed and we won't be exhausted from constantly moving around town. And oh yeah, the trip back to KL in the bus was horrible. Bloody hell sat 7 hours in the freaking bus. All thanks to massive jams along the highway. Now I'm back to my hectic schedule of training for the finals of the Malaysian skills competition again. And oh also sorry for not posting up any pics from the trip. Still have no time to upload them.

2 minutes short

Alright my trial at The Malaysian Skills competition is finally over. The battle is over. My training for the past few months came down to 2 mintues. Yeap I was 2 minutes short in completing my task within 3 hours. How ironic isn't it?? Months = Days = Conuntless hours of training just came down to 2 minutes!! 2 minutes!! 120 seconds!! Out of the 8 of us competing at a time, only 2 others started the engine within the time given. Then I was the last who managed to start my engine. 2 minutes late. Well at least my engine came to life with just one start. Started with such ease, even I was suprised!! The other 2 contestants had a few hiccups starting the engine. So consilation for my self?? 3rd best out of the batch??

But on the other hand the competition has given me some other things to look at. Even though I finished my job 2 minutes late, everyone was still so happy with me. Mostly all the trainers at TOC were there to support me all the way. Also some management staff were there to cheer me on. And of course my college CEO Miss Adelaine was there too. The moment I started the engine, all of them cheered damn loud it almost brought the place down. Then they rushed inside the competition area to hug me and shake my hand. Every single one of them. Daryl and some friends from Mercedes also came to cheer me up. At that particular moment I was seriously damn down. I just couldn't forgive myself for being 2 minutes behind. But now when I think about it, I am the luckiest guy there. Everyone was there telling me I did a good job, following the engine manual and all the specifications. When I got home, I continuously recieved sms-es from everybody telling me to cheer up and don't worry about it. Even though I finished my task 2 minutes late. Now it really made me think how seriously lucky I am to have such wonderful people in my life.
